[...] Tulsa, Oklahoma has seen an increase in its demand for downtown Urban living options. Personally, having lived in Tribune Lofts for quite some time and realizing all the pro(s) and con(s) to downtown Urban living, I can help offer a bit of insight. Downtown Tulsa has some extremely beautiful architecture, but you definitely have to get out and about to enjoy it. A neighbor of mine and I used to ride our bikes around downtown to the various locations we would visit. I know this is true for many downtown neighbors and especially those being able to live, work, and play downtown. [...]

Ashley,

I'm looking at a couple of buildings downtown to convert to loft apts. It's a little early but I may need your input on some conceptual designs based on your experience with the two projects you mentioned.

Please contact me at 251-2777.

Thanks.

Ashley,
I am in Houston but am moving to Tulsa. I am interested in a loft at the Tribune but only need a one bedroom. I called and they said 502 was available. Since you were in 504, do you have any comments? Thanks a lot.

Ashley,

I'd like to find more out about the Phil Towers and the Tribune Lofts. I'm currently looking at purchasing a loft at Tribune Lofts. I have visited twice and just love it. The price might be a bit high, but we are talking about that currently. However, its about the only one in Tulsa that I am awhere of. Is there away to get in touch with you?

Kevin,

Did you find any ideas on the lofts? I would love to be a part of something like that. I don't know if you're looking at selling any space or building all of it out yourself, but would like to find out some more information on it either way. I looking at being a part of the downtown loft style living. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know.

Thanks

Well, I just moved out of apartment 504 at the Tribune last March. It was a very cool space, but it didn't fit everything I wanted in a loft at the time. (If you want any more info, just let me know) I, too, felt it was too much at that price- but it was a big move for me so I wanted something special. I LOVED MY NEIGHBORS- we had rooftop parties and watched movies together- they are GREAT. Tell Dot and Sherman I said Hi- they'll be next door to you- I miss them and Brownie very much. It seems there's a small but tight-knit group of people who enjoy loft-style living in this town: I know of several I could put you in touch with if you like.

I'm now at the Philtower, and I'd be hapy to show you around if you like. It's more expensive than the Tribune, much quieter (I rarely see my neighbors :( ) but the amenities seem to fit my needs better right now. And trust me- I've made a part-time job out of looking for lofts in Tulsa. The more affordable Virginia Lofts on Third St are close to a very high-end set of lofts that have recently been re-done, and there are some on First St that are coming, but evidently have been 'coming' for about five years. Same with the Mayo: and I was in the Mayo about a month ago- it's a long way off. I'm in love with the Metro Lofts near Cherry St, but they're a bit more extensive, long-term agreements that are a bit high for me. If anyone is interested in building some new spaces, I'm a designer and would love to be involved- I think this downtown renovation is really important to Tulsa.
And if you know of any more loft-style spaces, I'd also love to know! Wish you the best!

Hey Kevin-

I am interested in investing in a loft conversion project and have been shopping around for a building to buy in downtown (or a current building owner that would be willing to partner on a project). How can I get ahold of you?

Thanks

I own a 10 story building downtown and am looking at the prospect of converting some of the floors to residential loft use. Would be pleased to communicate with anyone directly that has ideas, input, interest on a 'big picture' basis. Not ready for renting units..... I a simply trying to get a handle on the market, what is the demand, etc.

Thanks!
