What do you do when you decide your present mood isn’t fitting of its current environment? For me, I jump on a last minute plane to another city. At least this is what I decided to do Wednesday afternoon. I was driving around, running errands back home and decided that I wanted to take advantage of an oppurtunity; travel to Denver, Colorado.
As I mentioned in a previous article, I definitely enjoy travel. Surprisingly I was able to jump on the next available flight on United from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Denver, Colorado. Once I arrived I was immediately satisfied with my decision to bounce out on Tulsa.
The past few nights have been really busy for me. I have been trying to get some updates posted on the old website here and I have been unsuccessful in completing the task. Therefore, tonight I am making sure this one gets posted! I have been keeping notes of everything I do, see and think about.
My first sight-seeing experience here in Colorado was in Boulder. I found out that it is illegal to smoke within the city limits of Boulder. Those crazy granola eating freaks are absolutely weird. I also found out that Boulder, Colorado used to be a hippy town and now its all cleaned up. Donna informed me of this Thursday afternoon when I spoke to her. She definitely would know, she lived here for quite some time.

I visited Fraser, Winterpark and Mary Jane today. They’re all three smaller cities up in the Rocky Mountains. I got to spend some great time outdoors today! It was absolutely fantastic to get to play in the snow, go take some photographs and just goof off. That is exactly what I wanted to do with my Friday; mission completed!
Tomorrow I am planning on visiting another ski resort and get some slope action on. It should be totally killer and I am pumped about it. I’ll be heading back to town Sunday morning, so make way! My body seems to be dealing with the effects of such a change in altitude. Was a little weird at first but I am doing fine.
I spent the late evening last night working on my video-plugin. It is still in beta and I am not ready to release it, yet it has alot of potential. I’m really exciting about getting it integrated into the new web design that Elena has been working on. She sent me the final version this evening, I am going to talk to her about a few things and start implementing it. Won’t be long until JSv4 launches!
As I take more photographs I will be sure to try and stay on top of keeping them uploaded to Flickr. Hope everyone had a lovely holiday and best wishes for the next! Good night.

Now you’re talking!
I grew up in Castle Rock (about 30 minutes south of Denver.) I live in KC now.
My wife graduated from CU in Boulder, and I buy a season pass to Copper Mountain / Winter Park every year. Snowboarding is my favorite thing in the world.
I’ll be on the slopes two weeks from today. How’s the snow out there?

3@Shawn:
Honestly, the slopes are a bit pathetic currently. Denver received about two feet of snow a week or two back and last week, they had record highs. When I arrived the temperatures were in the mid sixties!
However, I bet in a few weeks the slopes will be powedered up and prepped for your visit.
Winterpark is something else; magnificant to say the very least.
I visited Boulder, Fraser, Denver, and a few other small cities surrounding the area. Pretty pleasant place overall.
