Oppurtunities to travel, meet new people and create new memories is practice I do not believe I will be privledged with forever. Coming face to face with a new environment is definitely exciting and I like to take full advantage of the fact that I can; for now. Usually, I know exactly where my destination will be and the agenda for when I arrive. However, for my next trip, I would like some suggestions and decisions made for me.
My visiting audience is quite loyal and I trust the opinions of everyone who views my website. Therefore, in an attempt to have a completely new adventure, I would like you to help me out.
The timeline is hardened in stone, I cannot change or modify this in any way. I have December 7-10, 2006 available for this trip. I am wanting to visit a location that is a little cooler in climate than I am accustomed to and still be able to enjoy the location. The location has to be within a 12 hour flight time, including delays and any dead or down time in between flights.
I am taking another individual with me and unfortunately she does not currently have her passport. Therefore, the trip must be domestic. I have researched a few locations and I think that New York City, NY would be a great place to visit. However, I am open to new locations and suggestions.
We are wanting a place to get away you could say. I want to be able to walk the streets in jeans and a sweater and capture the moments in the form of photographs and video. A little partying is not a bad option, yet we do not want to spend the entire trip hung over, so partying will be kept minimal at best.

Each of the locations above have their own unique reason for being listed. I know Hawaii is not the coolest of climates but there is a surf competition going on there and would make for a great memory. Baltimore is nothing too crazy, however, the nations capitol is very close and I have been there five times and never layed my eyes on any monuments.
Seattle is one of those places I would love to just sit, grin and enjoy a cup of joe. If you believe or have a feeling that I should visit somewhere else. Let me know in a comment. Let’s say that I’m taking this trip for you, each and every one of you.
Choose a location, let me know and tell me exactly what I should do there. If I get enough response for one specific location I will probably visit and take photos as evidence. Now, where am I going….

1Canada is always great, though its not really domestic. :) Pity you can’t come to London, Ont or something (nothing to do in London, Ontario though)..if only I still lived in Ottawa.

2I voted for Seattle. I’ve always wanted to go there. You could take alot of pictures and then it would feel kinda like I went, or at least had a dream that I did.

3For me, out of that list, I’d LOVE to visit Alaska. The scenery is amazing, and you get to see wildlife in insanely excess.

4Like Brian, I voted for Seattle and it looks like (at the time of this comment) 60% of the voters agree with me. Perhaps you’ll have to flip a coin to decide between New York and Seattle. That’s a hard decision…Best of luck!

5I like to travel very much! And I strongly recommend to visit Santorini island, Greece! It’s one the most beautiful places in the world! I also can advice one very good travel agency… If you wish.

6I would like to suggest Boston, MA and Philadelphia, PA. I have spent little time in Boston but I hear it’s really starting to grow. There are a lot of tech start-ups there.
Philidelphia reminds me of a reasonable NYC. It’s big enough to have all the momnuments, chinatowns, and museums; but not so big that you never see the sky. But it may be just a one day thing, you could take a train from NY.
