I have been tied up so crazy-like during the last two months, I forgot to keep my readers informed. I have been migrating from PC/Windows to Mac/OSX over the last month. I’d been operating off Mac OSX for a little while and started enjoying the streamline of information from one application to another.
I found the interface extremely appealing and I just enjoy sitting in front of a Mac. I purchased a new Mac Book and I have been loading it up with all the useful information, applications and utilities I might need. There are oodles and oodles of content in the blogosphere related to useful Mac applications; I just found what worked for me.
Some of the applications I initially had to purchase, download and install:
I immediately installed MAMP (Mac + Apache + MySQL + PHP) so I could develop whenever I felt like I wanted to. I also enjoy Mac, because I am able to tether my SprintPCS mobile phone via bluetooth and take advantage of Sprint’s high speed EV-DO network.
Do that without some software on a PC! All in all the migration has been smooth and I am actually operating more efficiently! Well, thats the story…

1I prefer jEdit over Text Wrangler. Add on the FTP plugin, and you can have instant access to files on an FTP server for live read/write.
