It seems amusing to me that after all my years of hard work and dedication to the various fields of interest that I am involved in that I seem to be pretty popular amongst my peers. Typically, I would never write about this on a public blog, although, today I feel as though I must.Â
Today marked the three year calendar date that I have been privately filling positions with local programmers for a very large technical recruiting firm. I’ve assisted in the filling of over 90 positions with 72 companies nationwide. I am not sure if that is something to brag about, that averages out to a pretty low number annually, however, I am happy with my decisions.
I was informed today that of those 72 companies and 90 contracts that 67 have become full-time employees, 12 of which have been with their contracted employer for more than two years, 29 of the total have been for more than a year and only 2 were ever terminated for reasons unknown.
I think that should make me happy.
In the recent months I have taken on four new large development projects and denied quotes for seven. If you have ever inquired for me to do private development and I have denied the project, I sincerely apologize; I like money. Despite my passion for my work and the passion for your checks, I just don’t have the time.
Today is a happy day, very happy day.

1Following suit, I’ve completed two years of my four year degree, and I already have a job doing just as much, if not more, than what I will do two years from now. I’m quite proud of myself. However, my paycheck doesn’t look anything like I’m hoping it will two years from now…
